One of the first successful home computer systems, the Apple II sold from 1977 to 1993. It was Apple’s first mass produced personal computer, and was released in a number of models, each improving on its predecessor. In total, six million were sold, with many going to schools and companies, making it the very first computer available for use in public schools.
